“A smoother, more consistent presentation might not have been able to reach the emotional heights of Defiant Theatre’s Landscape of the Body.”

John Guare’s haunting tale of the quest for hope in a hopeless world.

On a chilly fall evening aboard a ferryboat, a man in a Groucho Marx disguise confronts a woman accused of decapitating her son. Told through a series of apparently unrelated flashbacks, the random events slowly melded together to reveal the horrible truth behind the boy’s murder.
